The Story Of Paisley Cafe

 

I can remember my grandma, Ruby Lee, making Hoe Cakes with three ingredients: corn meal, boiling water and oil. Butter would come around at the end, to melt over the Hoe Cake!  I can still taste it as if I was in her kitchen. This was how she was able to give to us---nourishing her family spiritually and physically. What better gift can we receive than food for the soul and body from a loving kitchen? I’ve enjoyed serving the Paisley dishes for my own family. This love of cooking has culminated in my dream of having my own cafe, bakery, market. Paisley Cafe is Tallahassee’s ‘home’ for family inspired foods.
